Welcome to the YWCA Intermediate and Advanced Creative Writing Course for 2010-2011.
Our goal for this year will be to develop our creativity, improve our creative writing skills, and learn from each other.
We will be working with many different genres this year. We will be doing in class reading, giving feedback,
and occasionally working on homework assignments.
It is my hope that I can help you all to improve your writing and gain a better understanding of the various types of
creative writing. We will mainly focus on each student’s individual improvement as a writer through positive feedback and encouragement. Each student will have a chance to read his or her work aloud during class and receive comments.
Please be respectful of the other student's work during the class time. While grammar is important it will not be the main point of emphasis during this course.
